Jean was born on November 29th, 1894 in Muirkirk, Ayrshire.1   Jean's father was James Mowat Steven and her mother was Jeanie Anderson.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert Steven and Alice Taylor; her maternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. She had three brothers and two sisters, named James, Robert, George, Mary and <Unknown>.  She died at the age of 75 on April 19th, 1970.
