Clara was born in December 1875.  Clara's father was William Drinkwater and her mother was Elizabeth Willett.  Her paternal grandparents were James Drinkwater and Hannah; her maternal grandparents were John Willett and <Unknown>. She had four brothers and two sisters, named William, Joseph, James, John, Elizabeth and Annie.  She was the youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 29 in 1904 in Bucklow.1
